Lilies Quilt Pattern
The Lilies quilt pattern is actually a pattern for two different quilts using the same floral quilt block. Lilies on Parade uses an on-point orientation with three colors of upright floral blocks for a traditional springtime feel. Dancing Lilies is laid out in a standard orientation, with the blocks rotating around each other, creating a geometric, modern vibe. The pattern includes instructions for baby, throw, and queen quilts in both designs, as well as a darling table runner. This is a perfect quilt for a wedding or baby gift, or a young (or young at heart) girl’s bedroom.
The quilts are made up of mostly HSTs with a couple of HRTs thrown in for good measure. The pattern contains lots of full-color diagrams and clear instructions to make the piecing process straightforward and fun. I’ll be posting some tutorials on this blog for the HSTs and HRTs as well. I did go through a little bit of a learning process on the HRTs as I was developing this pattern!
I love these quilts! I’m hoping for some beautiful outside pics later in the spring/summer when the flowers come out, but for now, this is what I’ve got to work with in February in Utah! Update: Spring pictures here.
