Half Rectangle Triangle
The Half Rectangle Triangle is deceptively complicated, especially compared to its more straightforward cousin, the Half Square Triangle. This tutorial walks you through all the ins and outs of this versatile quilt block.

These blocks from my Lilies quilts show correct and incorrect HRT construction. You can see in the HRT on the left that the corners of the triangles don’t meet the corners of the rectangle correctly, and on the picture on the right the corners are much better.
